A volunteer brotherhood that began with Bangladeshi migrant workers stepping forward to serve a mosque during Ramadan — and grew into years of service across Singapore.
A brotherhood built through service
It started with helping hands during Ramadan.
Friends of Mosque began at Alkaff Upper Serangoon Mosque when additional volunteers were needed to prepare, serve and clean up after Ramadan break-fast. The brothers came forward simply to help.
That spirit of service became something lasting — a volunteer network supporting mosques, community programmes and efforts that strengthen harmony in Singapore.
