Milestones that shaped FOM from its first Ramadan service through the years that followed.
Sunday service grows
Members gather every Sunday for cleaning and maintenance, while supporting lectures, community programmes and fundraising activities. Service also extends to Kampung Siglap Mosque.
A pause, not an ending
Volunteer activities are suspended during COVID-19 restrictions as members remain in their dormitories. Physical service stops, but the group’s spirit and connection remain.
Service resumes
As restrictions lift, FOM returns to volunteering. Around the same period, Angullia Mosque seeks weekend volunteer support and FOM steps forward again.
Ten years of service
FOM marks its 10th anniversary at Angullia Mosque on 13 September 2026. The celebration brings together volunteers, mosque representatives and community guests, with S M Abdullah Al Mamun, Counsellor (Labour & Welfare) at the Bangladesh High Commission in Singapore, among the guests.
A network of brothers
FOM now has approximately 25 active core members and a wider network of around 200 volunteers organised into teams supporting mosques and community organisations across Singapore.
The road ahead
The journey does not end here.
With Allah’s blessings and the continued support of volunteers and partners, FOM hopes to keep serving the community with sincerity, unity and dedication for many years to come.
