The Friends of Mosque story is told through years of practical service, friendship and shared responsibility.
A simple beginning
Service came first. The brotherhood followed.
FOM began when Bangladeshi migrant workers stepped forward to help Alkaff Upper Serangoon Mosque during Ramadan in 2016. The work was practical: preparing meals, serving congregants and cleaning up afterwards.
Those repeated acts of service created trust, friendship and a volunteer culture that continued beyond Ramadan and eventually extended to other mosques and community organisations.

Serving the community
FOM expanded into outreach, religious programmes, special events and efforts that encourage harmony and mutual understanding.

What began as a small group became a wider network of volunteers connected by sincerity, humility, unity and service.
